What's the difference between old and antique?
Today at work - during a brainstorm time - there was an exciting debate over the meaning of the words: old and antique.
There are some controversies...! Some people think old is something depreciated and antique is something which "was born a long time ago". For some people old is used as an adjective and antique is almost, and I really mean almost and not fully, used as a noun. For example, the Peugeot 205GTi is an antique, a vintage car (which most people wish to have in their collection), it's almost like a type of car. The Peugeot can be old if its owner doens't know its real value and drives it crazily - with no Goodyear tires, for example! hihi - depreciating it.
On the other hand, there are some people which think those two words are perfect synonymous...
There are some interesting sites about it:

What do you think????

The Social Network
This weekend I watched a very interesting movie "The Social Network", it's not only a drama about the founders of facebook but it's a clear illustration of human's needs. The protagonist builds the biggest relationship site of all at web and still he ends up with no friends. It made me think about our needs... why are we so into these web connections? These "tools": facebook, twitter, orkut, msn, sms and e-mail (this one a bit overpast...!) are so necessary in our lives? Does it really makes us closer to each other? I really don't know... what do you think???

How to Win Friends and Influence People
Talking to a friend of mine at work, we reached the conclusion that human behavior is one of the most amazing subjects envolving relations. She told me she´s reading the book "How to Win Friends and Influence People", written by Dale Carnegie. The core principles of each section in the book are the following:
1. Fundamental Techniques in Handling People
2. Six Ways to Make People Like You
3. Twelve Ways to Win People to Your Way of Thinking
4. Be a Leader: How to Change People Without Giving Offense or Arousing Resentment
I obviously got very interested on it because it shows several ways we can act to reach our goals in a positive way, as a negotiation in which all the envolved wins something. That´s surely a book that should be studied.
I would like to hear about you!!!
What do you think about it?
Is it possible that human behavior is a main point to obtain sucess?
Let´s comment!!!

My Preference
Hey there,
How is everyone doing? Its been little while since my last post.
Today I will just leave some suggestions based on my preferences. Hope you all enjoy it.
Musical suggestion is the amazing musician John Mayer. His latest album called "Battle Studies" is probably the best album he has done since his master-piece (Continnum). All songs are reflections of failed relationships. My favorite songs in this album are "Perfectly Lonely" and "Edge of Desire". Great music with very elaborated lyrics.
My reading suggestion is Dan Brown's "Deception Point". It is just like any other Dan Brown's novel: an amazing thriller full of curiosities enriched by an outstanding research.
Hope you guys enjoy it, and please comment what you think if you end up checking the suggestions out.
